Dorsky in London

-

Next week: a rare screening of four new films by Nathaniel Dorsky (Summer, February, Avraham and December) at BFI Southbank in London. For more on the films, see Danny's excellent piece in MUBI's Notebook.

Later: two programmes of recent films by Jean-Marie Straub at the Goethe-Institut London, inc. Danièle Huillet & Straub's Europa 2005, 27 Octobre; the UK première of Thom Andersen's Deleuze film, amongst other things; the A Nos Amours Akerman retro continues and will tour. Some links of note: Living Cinema: Experimental Film and the Academy; Notes on the visual economy of drones; the industrial persistence of 35mm; an interview with Gina Telaroli (HTTF!); The Killers Played The Bait Shop; on Chubz and OJ; the poetry and brief life of Xu Lizhi (1990-2014).
